Version 4.9 update 8 released 03/08/2008

This version update includes:

• Next Close (NC) exit in Trade Parameters for scan workspaces. When NC is selected, APS will scan for patterns that exit at the next close following the pattern formation. Trade input can be at the close of pattern formation or at the open of next bar.
• Code generation and system tracking capability for patterns found by the scan function for Next Close (NC) exit.
• Significantly improved back-testing parameter reporting. The following parameters are now available in the back-testing results: entry price, exit price, trade P/L, net profit, amount of winning trades, amount of losing trades, average win, average loss, avg win/avg loss ratio and profit factor. Version 4.9 update 7 released 01/03/2008

This version update includes:

• An additional field in the Profitability Calculator to show the allowable shares based on the available capital and share price and also added a warning message when the calculated number of shares is greater than the number of allowable shares.
• A few changes to search and scan workspace windows to allow more file selection space.
• Another option for data file format. Now the program can read ascii text files that are semicolon delimited such as those generated by NinjaTrader.
• A Change in the running tool during a search to indicate the file being processed.
• Minor bug fixes and a few other minor enhancements.

Version 4.9 update 3 released 04/10/2007

This version update includes:

• Capability of adding models to System Tracking from the Scan results
• A very useful number of shares calculator that determines the number of shares for a given trading capital and risk percent, for stop-loss either in points or as a percentage of the entry price.
• Several minor enhancements dealing mainly with the display and positioning of the various program windows.

Version 4.9 update 2, officially released 02/27/2007

This update fixes minor bugs in the password protection module of the program. Specifically, technical issues with running the program on dual CPU machines have been identified and solved. In addition, we have optimized the password protection module to increase execution speed. If you have no problems with your present installation there is no need to download and instal this update since a new password may be required.

Version 4.9 update released 03/15/2006

The newly released update of v4.9 includes a Data File Test option in Tools menu. This option has been added by popular demand and it is an improved version of the old Data File Error Check option that was not present in the original release of v4.9. This option can be used to check data files for proper format but also for errors, such as zero values, open/low outside high-low range, etc. Also, this update of version 4.9 includes some other minor improvements. The updated help file is available for download as a self-extracting executable file. Contact us for details.

Version 4.9 update released 02/09/2006

The update of v4.9 includes a bug fix in "Show Open Position" function. This bug could affect models in System Tracking with multiple target/stop levels in identical pattern formations and cause open long positions of such patterns not to show up in the report.  Also, we have added "Index" and "Index Date" to System Tracking results so that individual patterns can be identified using the VIEW function. This is useful in checking the performance of a pattern that has generated a signal with the help of the Back test option.. A File Maintenance feature is also included that lists all files used/generated by the program, by extension and type so that obsolete files can be deleted very easily.

Version 4.9 released 01/18/2006

• Open position list for System Tracking saved models. This is a major new feature one can use to see the open positions of each model saved in System Tracking. The results of the function are also saved in a text file.
• Profitability Calculator: An extremely useful new feature one can use to calculate the minimum required profitability to use in search or scan workspaces based on the desired profit factor and target/stop levels.
• Additional data format reading capability. With this version, data fields can be comma delimited in addition to space delimited so that the software can read QP3 generated ASCII data directly without going through a conversion step.
• Several minor enhancements and a minor bug fix having to do with the display of first and last date of a data file when back-testing. Fixed the problem with Regional Settings . Starting with this version, local Regional Settings are overwritten with English Regional Settings conventions ("." is the decimal point and ","  the thousands separator).
• New user-friendly installation files with multilingual support.
• File Maintenance: this new feature included in the Tools menu allows deleting files used or generated by the program. The files are  listed by extension and type.(with 02/09/2006 update release)
• Data File Test: An option added to Tools menu, which allows testing data files for errors, such as bad format, zero values, open/low outside high-low range, etc.(with 03/15/2006 update release)
